On the 1st of December 2016, the TY2 class were given the opportunity to visit the Mosque in Tramore Road,Cork. The group was welcomed by the Imam who explained what Islamic Culture is and the Muslim beliefs. The students also got the opportunity to ask questions about Islam. This trip forms part of the school’s religious education department’s efforts to raise awareness of the beliefs and practices of Muslims.
