Following guidance from the Department of Education our school will remain closed tomorrow (Wednesday 8th December, 2021), to allow for an assessment of the surrounding area following Storm Barra across Cork City and County.
Please continue to monitor our school website and social media channels for further updates.
Cork remains under a status red alert until 21:00 tonight and later moving onto a status orange alert. Please monitor local weather updates through www.met.ie and rte.ie/weather.

Met Éireann has issued a status red weather alert for Cork.
Therefore schools and other public services will remain closed for the day due to poor weather conditions which could cause damage to property and injury to people, therefore it is recommended everyone stays indoors between 06:00 and 21:00.

As you aware COVID-19 cases are on the rise throughout the country, therefore we must continue to protect our school and our homes.
Please keep the following in mind:
- Keeping a distance between 1 to 2 metres.
- Use the one way system within the school.
- Wearing a mask is compulsory within the school building.
- Please use the hand sanitiser entering/exiting the building/classroom.
- Please do not come to school if you have any of the following: fever, headache, cough, runny nose, loss of tase or smell, sore throat, aches and pains, diarrhoea, difficulty breathing, chest pain etc. for a full list of COVD-19 symptoms go to www.hse.ie/covid19.
- Reducing our social contacts outside of school.
- Visits to the school are by appointment only.
We have all worked very hard keeping our school community and our homes safe and we thank you for this. However, we need to continue to maintain COVID-19 guidelines over the winter season. 10 Likes
