The Department of Education & Skills has released a supplement providing further guidance to schools on matters that have been brought to the Department’s attention since the publication on 21 May of Guide for Schools on Providing Estimated Percentage Marks and Class Rank Orderings. It deals with three issues:
- Further guidance of the avoidance of unconscious bias
- Interpreting evidence of achievement in the case of students with disabilities
- Further guidance on bonus marks that would have applied for answering the written examinations through Irish
