Transition Year students from North Mon attended the 2026 Rubbish Film Awards, helping to raise awareness about sustainability and how it can be promoted in everyday life.
The Rubbish Film Festival encourages young people to create powerful short films that highlight environmental issues and inspire real change. The event took place on Thursday, March 26 at Fota Wildlife Park, where our very own TY students entered the competition with their film Polluted by Profit. You can view their entry by clicking here.
A sincere thank you to everyone involved in the Rubbish Film Festival, as well as Cork City and County Councils, for supporting and funding this excellent initiative. Congratulations to all the award recipients on the day.
