The North Mon History Club had a great week. The club welcomed a traveling exhibition from UCC on the Irish Revolutionary Period which was well run by the clubs junior cycle members who facilitated a number of class groups from all different year groups to come down and get some hands on experience with story of how Ireland came to be an independent country.
As well as this the three sixth year members of the club were one of seven winning groups in Thomas F. Meagher Foundation Video competition. This competition involved creating a video that promotes the unique message of pride, respect and peace associated with the Irish flag and out of the hundreds of schools that entered the History Club was invited to the winner’s lunch in Leinster House to accept their award.
Well done lads!!!
