The History Club were invited to city hall last Friday. This was for a ceremony that was to honour all the former Lord’s Mayor of Cork that were also past pupils of the school. The boys selected a Lord Mayor each and introduced them and list their accomplishments before presenting them with a scroll acknowledging their achiements. During the ceremony the boys received high praise from both the former Lord’s Mayor and the current Lord Major as well as the President of the PPU Mr Barry Hill who thanked them for their excellent work. The History Club Head Mr. Ryan was also in attendance and noted how the boys represented the school in a fantastic manner as usual! The North Monastery currently holds the record as the secondary school to have produced the most Lord’s Mayor!
