This was a unique opportunity for our 1st Year class – Naomh Caoimhin and teacher Mr Ruby to spend an afternoon in the Crawford Art Gallery in a relaxed, explorative setting, meeting artists and studio groups and learning about their processes and projects.
It provided the opportunity to interact with Perceptions 2016 Artists and the studio groups that support them through conversation, as well as meeting partners they have collaborated with, while joining them in hands on creative processes.
This activity was open to members of the public as well as schools, community and education groups. It ran on the first day of the 2 day symposium on the 25th-26th of October.
The class decorated ready – made white objects that they were allowed to bring home at afterwards.
Well done to Naomh Caoimhin and thanks again to The Crawford Art Gallery.
Mr A. Ruby (Teacher of Art)
