Re: Compulsory – 6th Year Geography Trip

Dear Parent(s)/Guardian(s),

As your child  is currently studying Geography in 6th year as part of their Leaving Certificate, We wanted to inform you about an important component of the course: the project. This project, which accounts for 20% of his final Geography grade, is a mandatory assignment that all students must complete on a designated day.

This year’s project involves investigating a river in Killarney, Co. Kerry, and is scheduled for Thursday, October 10th. Attendance is compulsory, and failure to participate will result in a loss of 20% from his final mark. It is not possible to repeat this trip.

The cost for this trip is €45. Please ensure that this amount is paid to their Geography teacher by Tuesday, October 1st.

Further details about the trip will be provided closer to the date. However, we plan to be in Killarney from 10 a.m. therefore we will leave school at 8.15am and aim to return to Cork between 3:00 and 3:30 p.m.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.
