Junior Cert Art 2015/16

Last year’s third year class 3R was the first in the history of The North Monastery to complete the Junior Cert Art project and drawing exam.  They have made some history within the school for completing this cycle.  The school and art teacher Mr A. Ruby are very proud of them.  Well done 3R and we wish you the best of luck with your results.

5 LCA – Craft and Design – 2015/16

On the 14th of April the 5 LCA – Craft and Design class put together a Batik Craft Stall to display the work that they had produced.  There was a great response and four classes came to view the work and ask questions about the craft of Batik.  This was worked on as part of their task for the first year of the course.  It was great to see the sustained effort made by all the pupils to complete this task and the required task report.

Well done to 5 LCA- Craft and Design!!

Transition Year – Bin Painting Project

TY 2015-16 did a great job in painting the new school bins. This project was part of the school’s campaign to highlight and promote environmental issues such as reducing litter and has also been done as part of the larger Green Flag ethos.  It is wonderful to see the individual and colourful designs displayed in the school yard.  Well done TY!!
