As part of our annual Halloween celebrations students and staff are asked to dress up in Halloween fancy dress on Friday, October 24th, 2025. Each student and staff member is asked to contribute 2 euro for the Ashling Murphy Memorial Fund.
What is the Ashling Murphy Memorial Fund?
The Ashling Murphy Memorial Fund, established in November 2022, honours Ashling’s life and legacy. Ashling was remembered as a kind, compassionate, and warm-hearted young woman—an exceptional daughter, sister, partner, teacher, and friend. Gifted in music and sport, she inspired many through her talents, positivity, and determination. Though her life was tragically cut short at age 23 on January 12, 2022, she left a lasting impact on all who knew her.
The Ashling Murphy Memorial Fund aims to promote and develop Traditional Irish Arts, Culture, and Heritage for young people by providing tuition, facilities, and resources. Its goals include establishing cultural activities in Ashling’s memory, offering educational and musical scholarships, enhancing facilities, supporting cultural participants, promoting the Irish language, and funding resources for music and education. The fund also supports commemorative challenges, exhibitions, and other related initiatives. Donations can be made directly through the fund’s website.
