Dear Parent(s)/Guardian(s),

Following today’s announcement by the Government of Ireland and the Department of Education & Skills, all schools within the Republic of Ireland will continue to remain closed.

It was initially envisaged schools would reopen on Monday, March 30th however, upon the further assessment of Covid-19 and following advice from the National Public Health Emergency Team, our school along with all other schools in Ireland will remain closed until April 19th, 2020.

The Department of Education & Skills encourages all exam students to continue with their study, as the state examinations are still planned to take place in June. Your teachers will continue to use remote learning to facilitate your educational needs, details available here.

The Department of Education & Skills will make further announcements regarding the next phase of school closures in the coming days and their plans for the state examinations, this information will be made available here.

We encourage all our students to continue with their study and to continue to follow the national Covid-19 safety guidelines issued by the HSE, click here. Please remain indoors where possible, please wash your hands with soap and warm water, please keep a distance of 2 metres between you and others when indoors and/or outdoors. The Government has issued new measures today whereby non-essential travel and non-essential outdoor activities are to be discontinued, a group larger than 4 individuals is also restricted.

We would like to thank you and your family for your cooperation during this period and wishing you all good health. #StayHome
